I haven’t done much travelling before. In fact, one trip to Australia when I was 14 was all the overseas journeying I had done. Then, being fortunate enough to having a trip paid for to Hong Kong and Philippines meant I could start exploring the world.
Hong Kong is an amazing city. I loved it, and would definitely go back. We only spent two days there, but every second was spend to its full use. In many ways, it was similar to Cape Town, with some costs slightly more, but it wasn’t too bad.
Our final evening was spent on the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront of the Avenue of Stars to watch the sun go down behind the city skyline. There is normally a light show, The Symphony of Lights. Unfortunately, we got the outer rains of an Asian hurricane earlier in the day which meant the show was cancelled. That being said, it was great to go buy a few beers and sit on the waterfront and take a few photos.
